I watched this movie as a kid. It scared the fuck out of me. I remember being awake all hours of the night watching lights on my wall and being frozen in place like Travis was frozen right before being abducted. Even now as I watch, the sounds take me back. My body is tense and I can’t look away. I don’t remember all the stuff leading to the abduction or what they guys dealt with before he was returned.

I do remember that terrifying alien probing scene and every other flashback to his time on the ship.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the right state of mind to watch this movie again. There are movies that I love but they fuck me up for a while, so I just don’t watch them all that often. This is one of them. There’s some language that didn’t age well, but otherwise it definitely stands the test of time.
